Bio:

Jim Harbaugh was born on December 23, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio. After starring at quarterback at Palo Alto High School, Harbaugh then decided to attend the University of Michigan. He put together a very impressive career at Michigan, concluding his career ranked in the top five all-time in a number of Michigan passing categories. As a three-year starter he led the Wolverines to back-to-back major bowl appearances, including the Rose Bowl in his senior year of 1986. Also, in 1986 Harbaugh was named Big Ten Player of the Year, was voted an All-American, and finished third in the Heisman Trophy race.

Harbaugh was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 1st round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He spent 15 years in the NFL, 7 with the Bears, 4 with the Indianapolis Colts, 2 with the San Diego Chargers, and 1 both with the Baltimore Colts and the Carolina Panthers. He was named to one Pro Bowl in 1995, and also received the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award in 1995. Over his career, Harbaugh consistently posted very respectable numbers. He finished his career with a 58.8 pass completion percentage, 26,288 passing yards, 129 passing touchdowns, 2,787 rushing yards, and 18 rushing touchdowns.
